Getting Started — Teacher
Welcome to Tawaasal. As a teacher, you can manage homework, take attendance, enter grades, communicate with students and guardians, and more — all from one platform. This guide helps you get oriented quickly.
Logging In
- Open your browser and go to your school's Tawaasal URL (for example,
yourschool.tawaasal.app). - Enter your school code, then your email address and password.
- If your school has enabled Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), enter the verification code from your authenticator app.
- You will be taken to your Dashboard.
- Enter your school code — your school will have given you this, and sign-in will not work without it.
- Enter your email address.
- Enter your password.
- Sign In takes you to your Dashboard.
First-time Login
Your school administrator will have created your account. Check your email for an invitation with a link to set your password.
The Dashboard
Your dashboard shows a summary of your teaching day:
- Your classes and upcoming schedule
- Recent announcements from the school
- Quick links to key areas like Homework, Attendance, and Grades
- Notifications about pending items (submissions to review, etc.)
- Refresh reloads the dashboard data.
- Needs attention lists pending submissions and leave requests waiting on you.
- Quick Actions jumps straight to common tasks.
- Take Attendance opens attendance for your next class in one click.
Your Classes and Students
Your school administrator assigns you to specific classes and subjects. To see your students:
- Navigate to Students from the sidebar.
- You will see a list of all students in your assigned classes.
- Click on a student's name to view their profile, including attendance history, grades, and merit points.
- Refresh reloads the student list.
- Filter the list to one of your classes.
- Search for a student by name or email.
Your Schedule
View your weekly timetable:
- Navigate to My Schedule from the sidebar.
- Your teaching schedule is displayed in a weekly view showing your class periods, times, subjects, and rooms.
- Week shows the full weekly grid.
- Day shows the periods for a single day.
- Print Timetable produces a printable copy of the schedule.
Key Areas for Teachers

| Promotions | Submit year-end promotion recommendations for your students |
Quick Start Checklist
After logging in for the first time:
- Check your schedule — Verify that your classes and subjects are correct.
- Review your students — Browse your student list to confirm the roster.
- View the calendar — Note any upcoming holidays or events.
- Set your preferences — Go to Preferences to set your language and notification settings.
- Explore homework — Try creating a test assignment to familiarize yourself with the workflow.
Parents Evening
When a parents evening event is scheduled, you can view your appointment schedule:
- Navigate to the parents evening event from the sidebar or events page.
- Open the View Schedule tab to see your booked time slots with guardians.
