Getting Started — Guardian

Welcome to Tawaasal. As a guardian, you can monitor your children's academic progress, view their homework and grades, track their attendance, and stay connected with the school through announcements and messages.

Terminology

Tawaasal uses the term "guardian" rather than "parent" to be inclusive of all caregivers — parents, grandparents, legal guardians, and other authorized caregivers.

Logging In​

  1. Open your browser and go to your school's Tawaasal URL (for example, yourschool.tawaasal.app).
  2. Enter your school code, then your email address and password.
  3. If your school requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), enter the verification code from your authenticator app.
  4. You will be taken to your Dashboard.
  1. Enter your school code — your school will have given you this, and sign-in will not work without it.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Sign In takes you to your Dashboard.

First-time Access​

Depending on your school's setup, you may get access in one of these ways:

  • Invited by the school — The school administrator creates your account and you receive an email invitation with a link to set your password.
  • Self-registration — Some schools allow guardians to register themselves. Navigate to the school's Tawaasal URL, click Register, and fill in your details. Your account will need to be approved by the school administrator before you can log in.
Check Your Email

If you were invited by the school, check your email (including spam/junk folders) for the invitation link. If you registered yourself, wait for an approval email from the school.

The Dashboard​

Your dashboard provides an overview of your children's school life:

  • Recent homework assignments across all your children
  • Latest grades and attendance updates
  • School announcements
  1. Needs attention lists homework due across all your children.
  2. The grades panel summarises the latest results across your children.
  3. The attendance panel shows recent alerts, such as absences or late arrivals.

What You Can Do on Tawaasal​

  1. My Children lists everyone linked to your account.
  2. The CHILDREN section covers homework, grades, attendance, schedule and merit for every child.
  3. Calendar shows the academic calendar for the whole school.
  4. My Fees is where you view and pay invoices.

Setting Up Your Account​

After your first login:

  1. Check your children — Go to My Children and verify that all your children are correctly linked to your account.
  1. The page title confirms you are viewing your linked children.
  2. Each card shows your relationship to that child and their class.
  3. Refresh reloads the list if a child was just linked.
  1. Update your profile — Go to Profile and ensure your contact information is up to date.
  2. Set preferences — Go to Preferences to choose your preferred language and notification settings.
  3. Review announcements — Read any existing announcements from the school.
Children Not Showing?

If your children are not appearing under My Children, contact your school administrator. They will need to link your account to your children's student records. See Linking Children for more details.
