Wellbeing

Tawaasal stores important wellbeing information for each student, including dietary requirements, medical conditions, allergies, religious and cultural considerations, and emergency contacts. As a guardian, you can view this information and submit requests to update it when things change.

  2. Click the Wellbeing tab on their profile.
  3. You will see the following sections:
  1. Back returns to the children list.
  2. The Wellbeing tab holds dietary, medical, religious/cultural and SEN information.
  3. Request Update opens the form to propose a change.

Emergency Contacts

  2. Click the Emergency Contacts tab on their profile.
  3. You will see each contact's:
    • Name

  3. Guardians linked to the child are added automatically — manage them from the Guardians tab.

Guardians linked to the student are listed automatically as contacts. You can add up to 5 further contacts alongside them.

Requesting an Update

Wellbeing information is managed by the school. If your child's information needs to change (for example, a new allergy, a change in medication, or updated dietary requirements), you can submit an update request:

  1. Navigate to My Children from the sidebar, select the child, and click the Wellbeing tab.
  2. Click the Request Update button.
  3. Fill in the fields under each section that has changed — you only need to complete what has changed:
    • Dietary Requirements
    • Medical Information
    • Religious & Cultural
    • Special Educational Needs
  4. Add a Note (optional) — Explain the reason for the change.
  5. Click Submit Request.
  1. Each section, such as Dietary Requirements, groups its own fields.
  2. Tick any restriction that applies, or leave a section blank if nothing has changed.
  3. Medical Information and the other sections work the same way.
Updates Require Review

Changes to wellbeing information are not applied immediately. A staff member must review and approve your request before the information is updated. This ensures the school records are accurate and verified.

Update Request Statuses

StatusMeaning
Pending ReviewYour request is waiting to be reviewed by school staff.
ApprovedYour request has been approved and the changes have been applied.
RejectedYour request was not approved. You will see the reason for rejection.
Partially ApprovedSome of your proposed changes were approved while others were not.

One Request at a Time

You can only have one pending update request per child at a time. If you need to make additional changes, wait for the current request to be reviewed, or contact the school to discuss urgent changes.

Tips

  • Keep information current — Whenever your child's medical conditions, medications, allergies, or dietary needs change, submit an update request promptly. Accurate records are essential for your child's safety.
  • Update emergency contacts — If a phone number or contact person changes, notify the school immediately so they can reach the right person in an emergency.
  • Be specific — When submitting an update request, clearly describe what has changed and provide the new information in full. This helps the school process your request quickly.
  • Review before school trips — Before consenting to a school trip, check that your child's medical and emergency contact information is up to date. Trip consent forms may require you to acknowledge that the medical profile is current.
  • Contact the school for urgent changes — If there is an urgent medical change (such as a new severe allergy), do not rely solely on the update request system. Contact the school directly by phone or through the Messages feature to ensure they are aware immediately.
