Linking Children

For you to view your children's homework, grades, attendance, and other academic information, your guardian account must be linked to their student accounts. This page explains how this connection works and what to do if there is a problem.

How Linking Works

The link between a guardian and a student is managed by the school administrator. When the school sets up student records, they associate each student with one or more guardians. This means:

• You do not need to manually link your children — the school does this for you.
• A student can have multiple guardians (for example, both parents).
• A guardian can be linked to multiple children (for example, siblings at the same school).

Viewing Your Children

1. Navigate to My Children from the sidebar.
2. You will see a list of all students linked to your account.

3. 3Refresh reloads the list if a child was just linked.

3. Click on a child's card to view their full profile, including:
   • Personal details
   • Class, subjects, and an attendance summary (Academic tab)

3. 3The Academic tab shows their class, subjects and attendance summary.

If a Child Is Missing

If one of your children is not appearing in your My Children list:

1. Contact your school administrator — They can verify the link and add it if it is missing.
2. Provide the student's details — Give the administrator your child's full name and class so they can locate the correct student record.
3. Check your account email — Make sure you are logging in with the email address the school has on file for you.

Multiple Schools

If your children attend different schools that both use Tawaasal, you will have separate accounts for each school (since each school operates in its own environment). Make sure you are logging into the correct school's portal.

What Students See

Students can also view which guardians are linked to their account:

1. The student navigates to My Guardians from their sidebar.
2. They see a list of guardians connected to their account, including contact details.

This is informational only — students cannot add or remove guardian links.

Privacy and Data Access

As a guardian, you can see the following information for each linked child:

• Homework assignments and submission status
• Grades and report cards
• Daily attendance records
• Merit points and awards
• School fee invoices (in My Fees)

Age-Appropriate Access

Your school may configure different levels of guardian visibility depending on the student's age or grade level. Contact your school administrator if you have questions about what information is available to you.

Tips

• Verify your links early — Check your My Children page as soon as you set up your account so any issues can be resolved before the school year is in full swing.
• Keep your contact information current — Your email and phone number are used for notifications about your children's school activities.
• One account per school — Even if you have multiple children at the same school, you only need one guardian account. All your children will appear under My Children.
