School Events

Tawaasal displays all upcoming school events so you can stay informed about activities, assemblies, trips, and other important dates.

Viewing Events​

  1. Navigate to Events from the sidebar.
  2. You will see a list of upcoming events, showing:
    • Event title
    • Date (and time, if set)
    • Event type (General Event, School Trip, or Parents Evening)
    • Location (if applicable)
  1. Search events by title or keyword.
  2. Show Filters reveals more filter options.
  3. Filter tabs narrow the list to one event type.
  4. Click the view icon to open an event's full details.

Check Events Regularly

New events are published throughout the year. Check the events page regularly so you do not miss anything.

Event Details​

When you open an event, you will see:

  • Description — A full description of the event, including what to expect and any preparations needed.
  • Date and Time — When the event starts and ends.
  • Location — Where the event is taking place.

Event Types​

General Events​

These include assemblies, sports days, shows, cultural events, and other school-wide activities. You will see the event details and schedule.

School Trips​

If your school organises a trip, the event will include trip-specific details such as the destination, the consent deadline, and any trip fee. Your guardian will need to provide consent for you to participate — see the Guardian Events & Trips guide for more information.

Parents Evenings​

Parents evening events are primarily for your guardians to book appointments with your teachers. You may see these events listed so you know when they are scheduled.

Notifications​

Depending on your school's notification settings, you may receive alerts about:

  • New events being published.
  • Reminders for upcoming events (for example, 24 hours or one week before).

Tips​

  • Plan ahead — When you see an upcoming event, mark it in your personal calendar so you remember to prepare.
  • Read the full details — Do not just note the date. Read the description for important information about what to bring, where to go, and what to expect.
  • Talk to your guardian — If an event requires guardian consent or payment (such as a school trip), let your guardian know as soon as possible.
